Kakwa offers demonstrations and workshops on a variety of traditional skills and crafts, available to museums, historic sites and parks, and schools. Our presentations are geared for a single classroom in 45 to 60 minute sessions, however, we also have drop-in sessions for public demonstations as well.
"Hide-tanning", "stone tool-making", "cattail duck decoy-making workshop", and "pre-contact & fur trade adornment" are just a few of the sessions we offer.
Organizations can fax Kakwa on letterhead at 306-738-4900 for a presentation list, or email for more information.
Videos from our presentations at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of The American Indian are posted on the S.I. website. Check them out at www.SmithsonianEducation.org/Heritage or on YouTube.
